Christmas Break

Sue says:

We're back from the Bougainville refresher course. Many thanks to those who prayed for the success of that outreach. It was an adventure! God helped us adjust to the many changes that needed to be made right through the course. And The graduates said they were strengthened by their time together.

We're taking a little Christmas break to rejoice in God's goodness in sending us a Savior. We will try to post a newsletter with more update soon.

Blessings!(And happy birthday, Mother!)

Girl's Eye View of Graduation

Sue says:

OK, so it isn't a complete report about graduation. But these were the things that interested me.

First we have six of the fifteen women who received certificates for completing the Pidgin ministry training course. Nice dresses, huh.

Next we have the Solomon Islanders who graduated this year. There were 32 students from several countries who received diplomas (four-year program in English) and bachelor's degrees (five-year program in English.

Here's the grandstand with the banner with this year's theme: What's So Amazing About Grace? The speaker was from the Langham Preaching Team founded by John Stott. The team is holding a conference on campus this week. The speakers are teaching nationals principles of good preaching. The team will give assignments for a year, then return for two more years to continue training the same individuals.

Graduation is a glad day.
